Habitat for Humanity of Craven County wants
you to have a seat!
On April 10th the non-profit housing ministry will be hosting their first
Chair Fair.

Fifty local artists have designed, crafted, sewed and painted 50 chairs for the silent and live auction that will be held during the day long celebration.
Bill and Carol Kemp of New Bern generously donated fifty hardwood chairs. Local artists from all walks of life have crafted these chairs into works of art using their imagination and creativity. The Chair Fair will feature these one-of-a-kind collector pieces. The artists range from high school students to ASID designers. Amateur and professional artists donated their time and talents to help Habitat raise funds for construction of the latest Habitat house.
Habitat wants you to have a seat and have
lunch!
We will be serving pulled pork plates will all the fixings for
$6.00 from noon until 2:00pm. Eat in or take out.
Local churches have volunteered to get up early and gather round
the cooker to make lunch for the fundraiser. Come and enjoy
some local Pig Pickin' while you enjoy the day.
Tickets are available at the Restore starting March 1st.
Our national partner, Lowe’s, will be on site with
Project Kits for Children -- and volunteers -- to help the
children with the construction. It might be a birdhouse,
birdfeeder, or other beginner project. We will supply all
the materials – you supply the kids. If you want to spruce
up your garden for spring – there will be azaleas for sale, $5 for
a one gallon plant, to help our Youth Build fund.
Okay, art, food, crafts for kids … did I mention
Shopping!? Our Restore Manager will be having discounts, deals and a couple of surprises during the day – so come ready to shop the
Restore for the best in gently used household items.
What else? We will have live music
by “Blessed” throughout the day.
